Martin Ego X5

The Martin Ego X5 is one of our favourite lights. The effect is spectacular and as you can control the function of the light and can connect several together (we have four) you can create a wonderful coordinated effect across a ceiling or other surface area using some of the patterns shown above.

The only true kaleidoscopic lighting effect on the market today is now DMX controllable. Martin Professional’s Ego X5 is a one-of-a-kind deco effect that projects a varying barrage of all new psychedelic patterns. Its bright output and razor sharp images add a unique element to any show, club or party.

The Ego X5 is an ideal portable effect and decoration light for DJs, mobile professionals, bands, live theatrics and more, and it fits well in clubs, bars and entertainment venues as well.

This DMX version of Martin’s popular Ego 03 features new kaleidoscopic decoration and projection designs, as well as 12 inbuilt macros (slow, medium and fast) to get users started fast. Top quality projection optics combines with a precise manual focus adjustment to produce extremely sharp and detailed projections.

The Ego X5 can also operate in auto or music trig mode. In trig mode, variable behavior tuning allows users to adjust how aggressively the effect reacts to music. The Ego X5 houses a powerful 250-watt, 1000-hour halogen lamp. Together with an innovative double mirror tunnel concept, the optic design and efficiency enables a projection that is exceptionally bright.

Also included is a variable strobe effect with 0–100% digital dimming. Variable effect speeds on both the double mirror tunnel optics and the specially designed kaleidoscopic gobo wheel give maximum flexibility and dynamic effect. Rotation is continuous and smooth on all effects.

A convenient handle and lens protection ring make for easy transport and handling, and a switch mode power supply makes set up even more straightforward, meaning the Ego can operate anywhere around the world. Like the other members of the Ego family, the Ego X5 is both lightweight and highly portable with a rugged, composite design that looks great in any rig or ceiling.
