Yamaha CP 2000 Power Amp
Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio,
continues to augment its line of high output, high efficiency amplifier
products with the addition of the CP2000 Power Amplifier at Winter NAMM 2001.
Designed to deliver high output power with extremely efficient operation, the
CP2000 is an ideal choice for small-to-mid-sized install and touring sound
reinforcement applications. The CP2000 delivers a maximum of 2000 watts of clean
power into a 4-Ohm load in bridged mono. In stereo configurations, it delivers
two channels of 1000-watt power into 2 Ohms, 650 watts into 4 Ohms and 450
watts into 8-Ohm loads (20 Hz to 20 kHz, THD < 0.2%). The unit is currently
available. A combination of Yamaha's exclusive EEEngine
technology and a MOSFET amplifier enables the CP2000 to perform with
exceptional efficiency, holding power consumption to a mere 30 watts at idle,
and drawing 350 watts under normal use. "The CP2000 really appeals to venues or bands
that need lots of clean, transparent amplification," says John Schauer,
Pro Audio product manager. "It's a great, low-profile amp for clubs,
houses of worship, distributed systems and performing musicians." For maximum flexibility, the CP2000 provides three
output modes: normal Stereo Mode routes separate input signals to independent
channels with L/R signal control, Parallel Mode routes a single input to two
independent channels with L/R signal control, and Bridged Mono Mode provides
extra high power output. The CP2000 shares the same limiter circuits as the higher-end Yamaha H Series amplifiers for optimum protection against hard clipping. Integrated speaker processing circuitry, accessible from a rear-mounted switch, enables the CP2000 to enhance the audio performance of Yamaha's popular Club and Se Series loudspeakers. The 2RU design features front-panel power control, 31-position input attenuators and level indicators. Each channel contains both professional balanced XLR and 1/4-in. balanced input connectors, 1/4-in. and 5-pole binding-post output connections Copyright(c) 2004 allthekit.com All rights reserved. |
