All The Kit - PA and Lighting Hire - Terms and Conditions

We have tried to make our terms and conditions as user friendly as possible. All hire agreements need to have formal legal stuff which needs to be signed before we can let you go away with the kit. To see the contracts that we will be asking you to sign please click here.

We tend to get asked the same questions when people contact us. We have prepared a list of frequently asked questions. If you do not find the answers to your questions please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.

Do you deliver the equipment?

We are happy to deliver the equipment within the South West of England. Some of the kit is rather large and heavy so you will need to bear this in mind if you are collecting the equipment. If you would like us to deliver we will charge £15.00 per hour (estminated at time of quotation) plus an additional 40p per mile calculated on the return journey from ShrewtonWe will use AA Route Planner to calculate distances. If you are hiring a large amount of kit we may be able to offer discounts on the delivery costs. We also provide 'Emergency Help!' where we will deliver equipment at short notice.

Insurance.

All The Kit has £5,000,000.00 worth of public liability insurance through Norwich Union which covers us for when we are operating as Sound and Lighting Engineers. When equipment is hired out on a dry hire basis it is not insured and therefore is the responsibility of the hirer. We recommend that people who hire equipment ensure that they are insured should the equipment be stolen or damaged as they will be liable for any loss or damage.

What identification do I need?

All the Kit needs to protect itself against theft of its equipment. When you first hire equipment on a dry hire basis we will ask you to provide us with one form of Photo ID along with two utility bills showing your home address. If these are not readily available we may be able to accept alternatives. Please contact us for more details. If the equipment is hired with an engineer no identification is required as they will be looking after our kit.

How do I Pay?

We accept cash and cheques with bankers cards. We do not have the facility to accept credit cards at this time but if you need to use a credit card we accept Paypal payments. Payment must be made in full before the kit can be taken away or services provided. We will ask you to provide a deposit but the amount will depend on the value of the goods. When does the daily rate start and finish?

The rental day starts and finishes at 12.00 noon. So you can pick it up at 12.01 onwards and it needs to be back with us by 11.59 the following day. If this causes you any problems we can be flexible but any delay in returning the kit must be by prior agreement as it may be booked out to someone else.

What if I want to hire kit for longer than a day?

We are happy to negotiate rates for longer periods. As a guide we use the following formula. Three days hire would calculated at 2.5 times the daily rate. A weeks hire would be 3.5 times the daily hire rate. This applies to dry hire rates only. If you need our engineering services we are happy to negotiate a favourable price.
